Justin
Head Administrator & Archiver: Justin Wilson

Justin was the original creator of Tori Amos Discography back in 2002, and his meticulous attention to detail in documenting official releases and collectibles has made TAD a beloved resource to many in the Tori community for more than a decade. He was responsible for documenting our first 1000 items and for building the first incarnation of the site, which you can still view here.

"I was first introduced to Tori's music by a friend in High School when she played Under the Pink in her car one day. "Pretty Good Year" was my first Tori song, and it remains my favorite all these years later. For as long as I can remember, I've had a tendency to collect things that interest me. After that first introduction in my friend's car, I purchased Under the Pink as soon as I could, and it didn't take me long before I wanted to collect all the albums, all the singles, all the promos. I purchased a copy of Paul Campbell's Tori Amos Collectibles and lovingly destroyed it with checkmarks and scribbled notes. I wanted my Tori collection to be as complete as possible. I quickly realized, however, that a 'complete' Tori collection is practically impossible. I began to keep track of items I didn't own but didn't want to forget about. I realized that if I could document an item's existence it was almost as good as owning it! Over time this led to the original website which was hosted on Toritraders for several years. I'm still passionate about all aspects of collecting. There are always new collectibles to discover!"

Head Administrator & Co-Archiver: Sal R. Cerda

Sal has been collecting Tori's music and memorabilia since 1994 and has amassed one of the largest, most impressive, and most complete collections in the Tori community. He is responsible for the majority of the painstakingly time-consuming scans you see on this site, and has documented the most items out of any admin in our entire database.

"My collection developed out of a simple love of Tori's music. I was first introduced to her through early MTV videos - "Crucify" was my favorite. My first purchase was Under the Pink and soon thereafter, I ran out and bought Little Earthquakes. I instantly fell in love with both albums. Since Choirgirl, it's been a tradition to purchase all the new releases from Rhino Records, my local independent record store in Claremont, California. I remember waiting in line for the midnight sale to get Tori's latest album. I enjoy contributing to the site however I can and passing on any information that might help others navigate Tori's immense discography."

Coral
Head Administrator & Webmaster: Coral Schnippert

Since 2009 Coral has been updating and redesigning the original site (hosted on ToriTraders from 2002-2005), and is responsible for all the programming and all the designs you see here in its current incarnation. After years of coding from the ground up, designing, scrapping and re-designing, the updated version of TAD was released in 2015.

"I've had a keen interest in web design and programming since the year 2000 and am self-taught in the world of web development. I am interested in a wide range of music and consider myself an audiophile. I've been a fan of Tori's music since "Silent all These Years" came out on the radio in '92, and my first concert was in 2003 (I wish I had started seeing going to her live shows much earlier!).

I've been collecting Tori's music and memorabilia since 2008 and I have a true passion for it. I collect out of the sheer joy of interacting with a physical medium, connecting with the promotional history of the music, and appreciating the various manifestations of the artwork."

Administrator & Social Media Manager: Valerie Lord

Valerie has been contributing to TAD since 2015 and has been the driving force behind our social media platforms and engaging our community. This is on top of her regular duties documenting new items, helping with user submissions, and being committed to keeping our information current and proofread. She's a regular swiss-army-knife for TAD!

"I first discovered Tori when a friend gave me a copy of From The Choirgirl Hotel in college back in 2001. She thought I might like one of the songs. I don’t even remember which song that was because I immediately fell in love with the entire album. I ordered the rest of her albums up to that point and the obsession began. Over the next 13 years, I kept up with her new albums, bought most of her sheet music, and ordered a few of her special releases like A Piano: The Collection and The Original Bootlegs, and thought my collection was pretty extensive. I felt lonely in my passion for Tori because no one else I knew loved her like I did. Fast forward to 2014...I discovered Tori Amos fan groups on Facebook and found a new family in the friends I made through them. I learned that many people actually go to more than one show per tour - something I’d dreamed of but assumed others would think was ridiculous. And I was absolutely blown away by the width and depth of Tori’s catalog when I saw other people’s collections. Singles with b-sides I’d never heard of, country variations, promotional items, cassettes, vinyl, VHS tapes, and even an 8-track were out there waiting for me to find them. My passion mushroomed into an all-out obsession to collect all the things! I’m honored to be part of the TAD team and help document something that is so special and important in my life."

Aisha
Administrator: Aisha

Aisha started contributing to TAD in 2017, and is responsible for a dizzying array of tasks. She not only is responsible for adding the majority of our member submissions, but has spent many hours making sure our track lists, catalog numbers, barcodes, and descriptions are all uniform and proofread. This is all in addition to documenting the unique items she collects. In just a few short years, she has proven to be an indispensable member of our admin team.

"I've been collecting Tori casually since I was introduced to her in the mid 90's by my sister-in-law who had Little Earthquakes and Under The Pink and thought I might like to listen to them as I played piano. It was love on first listen, and Tori has been my favorite musician ever since. I became more intensely focused on collecting in 2014 with a keen interest in different country and matrix variants. I also collect a lot of other music ranging from metal to eurodance & trance and everything inbetween. Tori remains my largest collection though, and she's definitely what I spend the most time looking for, researching and collecting."

Administrator: James Russell

In 2016, we were fortunate to gain another invaluable member to our administrator team. Highly experienced with the professional side of working with physical media, his impressive resumé includes working with Sony, Columbia Records, A&R, and EMI. He stood out to the Webmaster as a highly respected and frequent contributor on Discogs, and graciously accepted our invitation to the TAD family. James brings a professional perspective we have hungered for at TAD, and helps us elevate and hone our objectives as a whole. His exceptional contributions possess the kind of detail and consistency only acheived through real-world experience in the music industry.

"Summer 1994, and a hot day in a garden in South East England. The radio was playing some light, modern classics - Prince's "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World," "Linger" by The Cranberries, "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" by the Crash Test Dummies. Completing a memorable quartet, next arrived a jangly guitar, some driving piano with deep, urgent notes - "Cornflake Girl" became my introduction to Tori Amos. A pianist and sometime songwriter since my early teens, I was drawn to Tori's marriage of voice and keys, and her ability to play what, on occasion, sounded like a different song under her vocals whilst keeping the two perfectly aligned. Purchasing the Little Earthquakes video cemented my interest - the live version of "Precious Things" on that tape is, for me, the definitive. Record Collector magazine, a staple in my home since the early 90's, introduced me to Tori collecting. Readers would find something interesting in the personal ads, make a call, and hope for success. Often one would hear "Sorry, that's gone now." My parents, however, were content supporters of my growing collecting and archiving needs. They loyally worked through the magazine, calling up the sellers of listings I'd circled and packaging successful purchases up as birthday or Christmas presents. The giant Boys For Pele cardboard standee was one of my first happy gifts, indiscreetly wrapped under the Christmas tree. A growing collection served an order and structure-driven mind, and in between mesmerising live shows I collected and databased items from far and wide, learning newly discovered songs on my out-of-tune upright piano as I did so. Often I'd master a whole composition by ear alone, only to discover much later I'd heard it in completely the wrong key, but was now fully committed to my version (and still am). With an oftentimes pedantic interest in promos, cassettes and Latin American items, I am a proud contributor to Tori Amos Discography & Collectibles and uphold the importance of archiving information and items on a live basis to preserve factual, historical truth in a fast-changing environment. And because it gives us all a reason to expand our collections."
