Silver

A "silver CD" refers to how the data is transferred to the disc. If the bottom is blue/gold/green/etc (except in some special cases where a commercial release will be a gold CD) it's usually a CD-R, and anyone could make it. There are CD-Rs available with images printed on the artwork side of the disc using special printers, so that alone is not enough to discern whether or not it is a silver CD.

There are several ways to check whether a CD is silver-pressed or CD-R:
1) The most common and obvious way is to look at the bottom -- if it's any color other than silver (and occasionally gold for some special commercial releases), then it's definitely CD-R. But there are some CD-Rs that are silver-ish, so this alone isn't enough to say definitively that it's a silver-pressed CD.

2) Check for a matrix code printed onto the silver side of the CD around the center ring. Silvers will have this, while CD-Rs will have the matrix code printed on the inner-most ring (often made of plastic):

Here's a bit more reading on the difference between the two, although is mostly discussing official CD-R releases, rather than bootlegs:

This is a collection of demo and outtake versions of Little Earthquakes album and b-side tracks. Sound quality ranges from good to very good. Track notes below were taken from the Tori Amos Bootleg Discography originally created by Jason Bilsky and John N. Underwood.
Track Listing:
No:Title:Length:Comments:
1.  Crucify (outtake)04:14Sounds like the single.

2.  Winter (percussion mix)05:30This one is a jewel. No strings or keyboard. Tori, the piano, drum (maybe congas) and a tambourine.

3.  Happy Phantom (outtake)03:20Bass guitar, some drums, tambourine. She kinds of stops the song with a chuckle and some other people on the studio also laugh with her.

4.  Take To The Sky (demo)04:20This one sounds very close to the original.

5.  Leather (demo)03:16Just Tori and the piano. Pretty close to a concert version but not as dynamic.

6.  Sarah Sylvia Cynthia Stout (outtake)02:34From the KZON Radio charity cassette.

7.  Little Drummer Boy (radio promo)03:05From the KROQ Radio charity cassette.

8.  Crucify (solo piano demo)05:23Just Tori and the piano. Pretty close to a concert version but not as dynamic.

9.  Thoughts (solo piano demo)02:46Sounds close to the original.

10.  Song For Eric (outtake)01:13Close to the original but has some Tori doing some"distant" background vocal.

11.  Mary (demo)04:20Very close to the original track.

12.  Silent All These Years (solo piano demo)03:35Just Tori and the piano. Pretty close to a concert version but not as dynamic.

13.  Leather (solo piano demo)03:14Just Tori and the piano. Pretty close to a concert version but not as dynamic.

14.  The Pool02:51Very close to the original track.

15.  China (solo piano demo)05:54Pretty close to a concert version but with a different introduction.
